Biography

Dr. Amy Coburn was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She earned her BS in Biology from Millsaps College and obtained a Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry where she served as class president for all 4 years. She has worked at Pediatric Eye Specialists in Shreveport, Louisiana for the past 12 years. She has been married for 14 years to Walker and is mother to William age 11, Thomas age 9, and Amelia age 2.

Rachel Tucker Reeves was born and raised in Fordyce, Arkansas. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. While at OBU, she realized that the combination of her love for chemistry, passion for people, (and weak stomach) would make pharmacy a great career choice for her. Rachel earned her degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in May 2020. Following graduation, she accepted a position as a market pharmacist for Walgreens and was then promoted to pharmacy manager one month later. In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Josh, and their fur baby, Mowgli.

Mrs. Roberts is a 1995 graduate of Georgia State University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. After working 7 years in home health, inpatient and outpatient therapy, she entered the long term care field of physical therapy. Mrs. Roberts has spent the last 18 years working for Nexion Health Management, Inc. a privately owned long term care operator based in Baltimore, MD managing 51 Skilled Nursing and 2 Assisted Living facilities in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Colorado. She is the Senior Vice President of Quality and is responsible for quality and strategic improvement projects, skin and wound care programs and rehabilitation services. Mrs. Roberts can be found advocating on The Hill in DC, as a guest columnist for McKnight's Long Term Care News and is on the Board for the Louisiana Association for Healthcare Quality. She is a graduate of American Health Care Association's Future Leaders Program, serves on many AHCA committees and has been a guest presenter and moderator at state and national conventions. She currently resides in Shreveport, La with her husband Danny Roberts, of 25 years-former OBU Football player and a daughter, Abigail Roberts-current sophomore and volleyball player at OBU and son, Devant Roberts, sophomore and soccer player at Captain Shreve High School. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteer work, writing and watching her kids play their sports.
