Call for Posters
The Arkansas Women in STEM conference invites Arkansas female science students to submit poster abstracts detailing women-led research in the fields of the physical, biological, and computational sciences, engineering, mathematics, and health sciences.
Before submitting your work, register for the conference. Then click the "My Account" link and "Sign up" to create a new account using your email address. Before submitting, please read all relevant policies and/or submission guidelines, including our Author FAQ and our Policy Statement. Finally, submit your poster. All posters should be submitted by March 28th. You will be notified of your poster's acceptance no later than March 31st.
The submission process consists of the following steps:
- Read and accept the Submission Agreement (a copy of which is below);
- Provide information about your poster and yourself and any co-authors, including email addresses, a poster abstract, subject headings (see List of Academic Disciplines), and at least 3 keywords;
- Upload your electronic file and any associated files.
Before you begin, please be sure you have the following items:
- Your poster's title;
- Your poster's abstract (up to 250 words);
- Subject headings (found at List of Academic Disciplines);
- A list of keywords (5 maximum);
- An electronic format of your file or a hyperlink to your file; you can submit PowerPoint slides, Word or Google docs, video, and audio files.

Submission Agreement for Arkansas Women in STEM Conference
By checking the box below, I grant Arkansas Women in STEM on behalf of Ouachita Baptist University and their digital archive, Scholarly Commons, the non-exclusive right to distribute my Work over the internet and make it part of Scholarly Commons.
I warrant as follows:
- That I have the full power and authority to make this agreement;
- That the Work does not infringe any copyright, nor violate any proprietary rights, nor contain any libelous matter, nor invade the privacy of any person or third party;
- That I affirm ANY PORTION, including photos, quotes, or other accompanying material, that is NOT my original work, has been used with permission from the copyright holder or falls within the Fair Use Exception under United States law and is cited properly;
- That I understand my work may be removed if it is found to be in breach of copyright or other intellectual property rights;
- That I agree to waive any privacy rights granted by FERPA or any other law, policy, or regulation, to make this Work available;
- That I understand that my Work will be maintained in an open-access repository available online to anyone with internet access, thus will not hold Ouachita Baptist University responsible for third-party use of my Work; and
- That I give Scholarly Commons and Ouachita Baptist University a perpetual, non-exclusive license to disseminate my Work and permission to digitize, distribute, and publicly display the Work in a way that furthers OBU's mission and educational, research, and public service purposes.
I understand the above policies, and I grant Ouachita Baptist University a perpetual, non-exclusive license and permission to distribute and publicly display my work.
