Biography
Dr. Karen Steelman is currently the Science Director at Shumla Archaeological Research & Education Center and director of Shumla's 14C plasma oxidation laboratory. Before joining Shumla in 2017, she was a Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Central Arkansas. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
