This is the closing address of the Third Annual Arkansas Women in STEM conference held on April 23, 2023, on Ouachita Baptist University's campus.
Biography
Dr. Hamilton earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Auburn University in 2004, and her Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Vanderbilt University in 2009. She joined Ouachita Baptist University in 2018, where she is now an Associate Professor. In addition to teaching courses in organic chemistry, she also supervises undergraduate research students. Her research interests include laboratory investigations of electrospinning polymer-based fiber mats for biomaterials, particularly toward wound healing and drug delivery applications. Her work is supported by AR INBRE and the AR Space Grant Consortium.
