Dr. Marie L. Socha has over 20 years experience in public health preparedness/emergency response, epidemiology, and environmental health. This includes six years as a Federal Employee at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and an additional 14 years as a Public Health Consultant. Dr. Socha has supported state and federal agencies on the COVID-19 response effort. Her educational background includes a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) in Environmental Health/Epidemiology, a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH)/Epidemiology) and a BS in Zoology. She presented in the morning health professions panel of OBU's Women in STEM conference held on March 20, 2021.
