Description
Dr. Karen Steelman is a leading international researcher in the field of archaeological science with over 40 peer-reviewed publications. Her research focus is pigment analyses and radiocarbon dating of ancient rock paintings. Prior to joining the staff at Shumla, Karen was a Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Central Arkansas, having taught there for over 12 years. Karen received her BA in Chemistry at Hendrix College in Conway and her PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Texas A&M University. She presented in the morning and afternoon alternative career panel sessions of OBU's Women in STEM conference held on March 20, 2021.
