Abstract
The Hollis Civilian Conservation Corps Camp (CCC), a part of the New Deal public works program, was located in the Ouachita National Forest in Perry County, Central Arkansas. The CCC was a program started by President Roosevelt in the 1930s to provide employment and trade skills for unemployed young men in the Great Depression. The work included building projects such as roads, bridges, dams and trails. The program ended in 1942.
The materials in this collection consist of a date stamp and a name stamp, "Co. 3767 C.C.C. Hollis, ARK," in an open 2 1/2 by 3 1/2" bakelite box.
