Abstract
Joseph C. Hall was born April 4, 1928. He received an M.Div. degree in 1951 and a Ph.D. in Christian preaching in 1958, both from Southern Baptist Theological in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1973, Hall received an MSE from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro. Hall was a minister, serving Baptist churches in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Virginia. He was also a retired school administrator and principal. An active member of First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Hall taught classes there for many years. He died May 30, 2003.
This collection contains three notebooks on various religious topics, handwritten by Hall in 1959 and 1960. The book "Notes on the History of Preaching" by V. Latrelle Stanfield, also includes notes penned by J.C. Hall.
