Faithfulness reflects commitment: James Taylor, director of campus ministries, emphasizes that genuine Christian faithfulness begins with fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ, "the author and perfecter of our faith."
Honoring faithful friends: Ouachita's named schools pay tribute to several influential alumni, trustees and donors. The recent installation of a series of campus displays highlights their life stories.
Campus construction update: Two residence halls currently under construction are scheduled to open this fall. Other campus projects under way are Heflin Plaza and an expanded maintenance complex.
Help and hope for Haiti: In the wake of Haiti's devastating and deadly earthquake, several Ouachita alumni were among medical relief personnel who faithfully provided vital assistance to survivors.
Majors address emerging needs: Equipping students for growing ministry opportunities, majors in Church Media/Production Arts, Christian Media/Communications and Biblical Languages are set to debut this fall.

Creativity sparks discovery: Dr. Scott Holsclaw, dean of the School of Fine Arts, explores how the creative process promotes lifelong discovery and innovation which can “uncover our unique giftedness.”
Singers make music in Italy: Twenty-four members of the Ouachita Singers experienced a musical and spiritual pilgrimage during a tour of Italy that featured three concerts as well as singing at St. Peter’s Basilica.
Seussical the Musical: The Ouachita Division of Music and Department of Theatre Arts partnered this spring to bring the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life on the stage of Jones Performing Arts Center.
Miss Arkansas 2010: Alyse Eady, a member of the OBU Class of 2010, was crowned Miss Arkansas 2010 this summer. Her platform is “Developing Leaders: Boys and Girls Clubs of America.”
Heflin Plaza celebration: Ouachita’s spacious Heflin Plaza, which links both sides of campus, was dedicated this summer in memory of former Board of Trustees chairman Johnny Heflin and in honor of his family.

Student Village ushers in "new era": The dedication of Ouachita's new student housing facilities was a university milestone. "This is a completion," President Horne declared, "but more than that, this is a great beginning."

Fanning the flames of service: Ian Cosh, Ouachita's Assistant to the President for Community Development, encourages Christians to pursue lifelong service opportunities.
Serving Christ by serving others: Ouachita alumni minister to "the least of these" in a variety of challenging settings both in Arkansas and around the globe.
Mom Chu's lasting legacy: Rosemary "Mom" Chu retired in May after joyfully serving more than four decades at OBU as Frances Crawford's beloved dorm mom.
Farewell to Daniel Hall: Daniel also served generations of Ouachita students for 40-plus years. Those days came to a close this summer as Daniel's walls came tumbling down.
Commencement celebration: More than 230 graduates, as well as retiring faculty members and Judge John Ward, OBU's 2009 distinguished alumnus, were honored during spring commencement.
