Abstract
The short story "Cine y Malabarismo" by Ángeles Mastretta delves into the journey of healing undertaken by a woman named Inés following the end of her relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Touching upon themes such as first love, regret, heartbreak, and the sacred acts that occur within romantic relationships beyond sexual intimacy, the story follows Inés's emotions and her struggle to cope with the loss of the sacred acts she shared with her first love.
