Description

This work was created with the idea of body dysmorphia in mind. Often times we use clothing as a version of armor that expresses both our inner and outer selves. I myself have struggled with be confident in my own skin. The dress I used as a base layer was the first dress I had ever felt truly confident in and I used the baling twine to mimic this idea of Grecian armor. This piece plays off of the idea of confidence peaking through the “armor” many cover up with on their journey to self-love and loving their body for what it is.
