Ouachita to host award-winning pianists Happy Dog Duo Sept. 11

Abstract

Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music in conjunction with the Arkadelphia Philharmonic Club will host Happy Dog Duo as part of the National Federation of Music Clubs Young Artists concert tour on Monday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. The recital, which will be held in McBeth Recital Hall, is free and open to the public.

The concert is part of a national tour sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs, one of the world’s largest music organizations. Happy Dog Duo, featuring Eric Tran and Nathan Cheung, was awarded the first placeprize and the Abid American Music Award of the 2017 Ellis Duo-Piano Competition, hosted by the National Federation of Music Clubs.
