Abstract

Mrs. M.E. McLaughlin was staying with her son Harold (Hal) Cunningham in Missouri when postcards were sent to her from Vinta. The cards continued until she was hospitalized at Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1909. The cards were then addressed to Cunningham inquiring about his schooling and well-being. The later cards sent in 1910 were addressed to Mrs. Louise E. Cunningham.

Most of these postcards were addressed to Mrs. M.E. McLaughlin, and sent as greetings on a variety of occasions, including Easter, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Some cards illustrate sites in Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and New York. The original postcard album is included.
