Abstract
The Subject Files have been compiled over the course of several decades and serve as a significant resource on Clark County topics. The collection began as a catch-all for items having valuable information or other important content, not associated with other specific manuscript collections. However, intentional newsclipping collecting efforts by Clark County historians Velma Seale and the late Allen Syler greatly increased the number and significance of the files during the past twenty years.
The vertical files include newsclippings, research notes, family histories, brochures, pamplets, and other small items pertaining to a wide range of Clark County history subjects.
