The 1916 Ouachita Baptist University yearbook, The Ouachitonian, records the events of this college year. Its goal is to remind readers of pleasant memories and enduring friendships formed at OBU, as well as of the students, faculty, staff, organizations, and events that shaped OBU in 1916. In 1913, came one who was able to tide the Institution over its financial crises. Through his brave leadership, his skillful management and his strong determination the debt was lifted, and we believed that what our college is today we owe in a great measure to him. In token of our trust in him, our love for him, and our appreciation for what he has meant to us and to our college, we, the Staff of the 1916 Ouachitonian, respectfully dedicate this annual to Dr. Samuel Young Jameson our Ex-President.
