Abstract

Jack Sydney Stell was born in Arkansas on June 6, 1889, to William Dallas Stell and Mary Catherin Green Stell. The Stell family apparently chose one son, Jack, to educate. Jack attended Ouachita Baptist College (now Ouachita Baptist University) and graudated in 1913. He went on to become a medical doctor and surgeon. He finished his career as chief of staff at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs. He was married to Ruth Ann Ross Stell, and lived until July 31, 1954. Stell is buried at the Bucksnort Cemetery in Dallas County, Arkansas. The inscription on his gravestone reads, "That good physician liveth yet."

This collection consists of diplomas from Ouachita Baptist College issued in 1913 to Jack S. Stell.
