Government in Arkansas
Published by the League of Women Voters of Arkansas, Government in Arkansas explains the structure and functions of Arkansas government. Among its 10 chapters are overviews of Arkansas' constitution, branches of government, institutions of political influence, and noteworthy issues. A comparative analysis of Arkansas and other states concludes each chapter. The Arkansas Board of Education adopted Government in Arkansas as a social studies and history supplemental textbook for grades 9-12 in Arkansas. It is also used in state government college courses. Instructor resources -- lecture outlines, worksheets, and reading quizzes -- are available upon request.
