Abstract
The Ouachita Baptist University Debate Team was active for most of the existence of the college. It began in 1886, when the school was founded, and ran through the early 2000s. However, there was a brief period during the late 1980s and early 1990s when the Team was not active. Over the years, the team competed in local and regional debates, bringing home multiple awards and trophies.
The collection consists of a book written by Dr. Paul Bass on the history of the debate team, working notes for that book and a later edition, and research notes for both. There is also a notebook of the team history up to 2005, and a notebook on the activities of the team from 1999 to 2004, including several photographs.
