Abstract

The First Baptist Church of Sparkman, Arkansas, was organized in 1914 under the direction of Ben DeLaughter and George J. McNew. The Sunday School met in a warehouse until the church itself could be built. As the number of members grew, the church buildings were expanded.

This collection includes church histories, financial records, membership, and pastoral records. There is a report of the church burning in 1947, and also a few photographs of pastors and church activities.
