Abstract

In December of 2008 George Bush’s parting gift to the Palestinian people was full support for Israel’s brutal attack on Gaza and her defenseless civilians in the largest open air prison whose 1.7 million residents continue to be the victims of repeated attacks and deprivation.

During the first week of January 2009 President-elect Obama was asked about the deteriorating conditions in Gaza and about the 1400 civilian deaths and massive destruction to the infrastructure. Here is how he answered: “There can only be one president at a time,” which translates into this: don’t bother me with serious issues.

Well, here we are, five years later. Not only has Obama gone AWOL on resolving the Palestine/Israel conflict, but he is also in the process of putting the nails in the coffin of the Palestinian state. All that remains of Kerry’s shuttle hypocrisy is the orchestration and fine tuning of the Clintonesque charade whose intention is to put the blame on the Palestinians.
